CAGE100 / Teil 2 – internationale Projekte in über 50 Städten weltweit
In 50 Städten und in über 20 Ländern findet der 2. internationale Teil von CAGE100 statt. In spektakulären Formaten erklingt Cages Musik auf allen Kontinenten. Neben den internationalen Partnerstädten Leipzigs im Rahmen des »Water Music Project« sind annähernd 50 Carilloneure (Turmglockenspieler) beim »Carillon Project« weltweit beteiligt. Außerdem wird zum Abschluss des Projektes u.a. eine Komposition uraufgeführt, an der über 100 amerikanische und deutsche Komponisten ein Jahr gearbeitet haben (»Party Pieces Project«).

Water Music Project
07. – 15. März 2013
An 10 Tagen erklingt in den internationalen Partnerstädten Leipzigs die »Water Music« von John Cage, ein Werk, dessen Titel sich mit dem jeweiligen Aufführungsort ändert. Die Spielorte sind u.a. Thessaloniki, Birmingham, Addis Abeba, Bologna, Lyon, Brno und Leipzig.
Carillon Project
Mai – August 2013
In ca. 50 Städten weltweit erklingen zu Ehren von John Cage die Glocken. Mit »Music for Carillon I-IV« schuf John Cage Kompositionen für ein einzigartiges Instrument, das Tumglockenspiel, das beim »Carillon Project« weltweit in USA, Belgien, Holland, Frankreich, Litauen, Dänemark, Kanada und vielen anderen Ländern mehr zu hören sein wird.
Party Pieces Project | Finale
28. – 31. August 2013
Spektakulärer Höhepunkt von CAGE100 ist u.a. die Uraufführung von über 100 Kompositionen im Rahmen des »Party Pieces Project«. Über ein Jahr schrieben über 50 amerikanische und 50 deutsche Komponisten an einer Gemeinschaftskomposition zu Ehren von John Cage. Das einzigartige Ereignis ist eingerahmt von der Neuinszenierung der Cage-Oper »Europera V«, Konzerten sowie einer Ausstellung.

CAGE100 / Part 2 – international Projects in more than 50 cities all over the world
The second international part of CAGE100 takes place in 50 citites in more than 20 countries. Cages music will sound on every single continent in spectacular Projects. Besides the international sister cities of Leipzig (»Water Music Project«) there are also about 50 carillon players from all over the world taking part in CAGE100 (»Carillon Project«). Furthermore there will take place final festival days of CAGE100 where a composition will have its world premiere that has been written by more than 100 American and German composers (»Party Pieces Project«).

During 10 days the »Water Music« by John Cage, a piece that’s title is changing with the location where it is performed, will be heard in the international sister cities of Leipzig. The venues are i.a. located in Thessaloniki, Birmingham, Addis Abeba, Bologna, Lyon, Brno and Leipzig.
Carillon Project
May – August 2013
In about 50 cities all over the world the bells will ring in honor to John Cage. With »Music for Carillon I-IV« he has been creating a piece for a unique instrument, the tower carillon, which will be heard worldwide within the »Carillon Project« in the USA, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Lithuania, Denmark, Canada and much more countries.
Party Pieces Project | Final

Amazing Highlight of CAGE100 is i.a. the world premiere of 100 composers withing the »Party Pieces Project«. During the period of one year 50 american and 50 german composers have been writing a community composition in honor to John Cage. This unique event will be accompanied by a contemporary production of the Cage opera »Europera V«, Concerts and an exhibition.
